The Palmer Ranch YMCA has been a God send. We recently relocated to Sarasota and had no one to watch our son during the day when I work at home in a small place we are renting while we find a home and while we work from home. So our son goes to summer camp during the day, with loads of activities and food each day. They also have an amazing rec center where they offer day care while we work out at the well equipped gym and play basketball and racquetball after. Ymca with BASKETBALL GYM absolutely hates basketball. You’d be lucky to get in 10 minutes of basketball throughout the week with how much they will kick you out for various pickleball sessions. Only upside on this building is the air conditioning; will take your mind off of the excruciatingly hot weather. Please for your sake avoid this Y if you want to actually do anything with your physique, unless you play pickleball.
Very nice YMCA. Not the nicest but a great selection of machines and courts
