Stopped in on our camping weekend, after the hurricane to sit by the water and enjoy a touch of country....Cameron was quick to serve us a sample of their peel-n-eat shrimp, ordered a half dozen and a beer. Great flavor but the best part was the story of his great-grandfather owning the property and the two wooden boats out front were found buried in the mud on the canal that his great-grandfather had hand carved. Great go-to spot!
Didn't get to try the food. The hours they have up is apparently not what they go by. Says they are open till 10pm and we showed up at 8:30pm. I will just take my business elsewhere, to a place that goes by their business hours listed.
I have eaten breakfast numerous times, enjoyed it thoroughly. Ate at the raw oyster bar, loved it also. Lunch several times, no complaint. Loved it. And, the scenery was gorgeous.
Myself and my family just walked out after nearly FOURTY minutes of waiting for food that never came! When asked about our food, the manager/cook was sent to our table (an older woman) explaing that it was taking so long bc she could hardly walk then showed us a few open sores on her ankle, mind u, our servers were walking around talking on cellphones, and others just lounging around at the MANY available tables since we were pretty much the only guests there with the exception of about 3 other small parties! The worst place ever! Waited for 40 minutes for food that never came. Wait staff standing around on their phones!! Sent the manager/cook out to show us a huge open sore on her leg to explain why it was taking so long for her to prepare our food. Really, you think we want to eat what you are cooking! Absolutely disgusting! Worst service ever!!
I love it here! The steamed shrimp was great! So peaceful and relaxing!
