Palace Hotel in Port Townsend makes a nice getaway. Located right in the center of town, the beautifully restored building was constructed in 1889. It served as a brothel in the 1920s and 30s, and even though the wild days are gone, most of the rooms are named for the women who once worked in them. On the rocks!! – The Palace is very well done in every aspect except the bed. It was the hardest thing I have ever slept on including floors!! At almost $200 per night I would have liked to sleep.
