Wes runs a barbershop. It’s no frills and I like it that way. You get a haircut for $20. He doesn’t cut long hair. If you want a lengthy conversation, go to a bar or your shrink. This guy cuts hair. I’ve never had a bad haircut there in the four years I’ve been going.
I asked for a fade. I’m a veteran and a woman. Said he doesn’t cut women’s hair. I said technically the style is a masculine clipper style…but you don’t service women…at all? He said no. We said curt polite goodbyes. But that does feel like discrimination. I go to barbers because they are better at clipper style short cuts than salons…for a reason. But if he doesn’t want people’s money I suppose it is his business.
About the unfriendliest guy around. Doesn’t even say hello back. I now know what not to age into.
Nice old style barbershop. No frills. Did a nice job, I plan on returning.
