DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY! John and Amy Evans are thieves! I hired them as well as my neighbor. They took our deposits and never showed up to do the work. We have been trying for over a year to get out deposits back, a total of $1500. They only have excuses about sending our money back “next week”. We should have read reviews. We’ve contacted the police.
Amy took 1700 and ran, total job was quoted for 5000 after reviewing the postings I see that this is their job, stealing
Amy and John are CROOKS, they will happily contract to do your painting job, take your deposit, promise to return on a specific date but they never do. They make numerous promises to return your deposit, but they never do. If you want to throw away your money, then contract with Painting With Pride! I have no other choice but to sue in small claims court!
Don't hire this company. Amy Evans stole my $350 deposit and gave me the run-around for a week about a start date, which was supposed to be about a week later. The day before they were supposed to start painting, she couldn't even give me a time when they'd arrive that day. The day of the start of painting she called me to advise she had an "emergency" which sounded fabricated. Excellent experience from St Clair Shores. The work was done in a timely manner-Polite-Professional-good eye for detail. 2nd time I hired them and there will be a third time. They were wonderful for decorating advice and wall repairs. Organized and experience shows from the first day.
