Prachtige locatie. Maar bij het inchecken meer dan een uur moeten wachten. Er waren verder geen andere gasten om in te checken. Ze konden onze boeking niet vinden….. Ze waren zelf van reserveringssysteem gewisseld maar blijkbaar geen check gedaan of alle reserveringen waren overgezet. Niet dus…. We kregen nog net niet zelf de schuld. We werden ondergebracht in een hele warme Familiekamer zonder airco en zonder verdere faciliteiten. Thee en koffie was niet beschikbaar. This is one of the premier mainstream salmon fishing resorts in North America. The location is spectacular and the grounds are beautiful. That said, the buildings, sidewalks, stairs, deck, rooms are all in need of significant updating. I stayed with my wife and family the weekend of Aug 2, 2025 and the last time I was here was in 2002. It seems like nothing has been done in those 23 years to maintain/upgrade the facilities except the outdoor pool and BBQ area. SUPER disappointing stay on the August long weekend. We had a 2 bedroom cabin that looks like it came out of the 70s. We had no hot water and although someone came out to look at it, there was no maintenance person working that night I guess so basically too bad for us. The desk attendant was going to get back to us after he talked to the manager and we never heard another word. We paid over $500 for a run down cabin with no hot water. My stepmom and I had to leave our campsite on north island that was right on the water because of a tsunami warning (This was July 29th, and the room was not booked in my name but my stepmoms) and this was our closest option that could take us and our 2 dogs. First impression is that it was super expensive, pushing $400/night in a loft for 2 adults and 2 dogs. One of the finest resorts we have visited yet located by the shore that is scenic, full of tranquillity with rustic feels and hospitable staff. Good food at the restaurant with an amazing view. Really loved our stay here and hope to visit soon. Keep up the good work!
