Painters has been my go-to place for vegetables, flowers, etc., since I was introduced to them 4 or 5 years ago. I travel the almost 30 miles from Asheville frequently and always come away with good plants and a smile. The quality of the plants is typically high, the prices are usually better than anywhere else, and the folks there are very helpful. I've even asked them to grow a variety or two of vegetables that I've had success with in the past, and they've been receptive. Love this place, and the people who are there.
There's a wide variety of plants from perennials to annuals, flowers, water plants, air plants, and herbs. Their customer service is one of the best I've encountered in NC, and on top of that, it's cheaper compared to a lot of nurseries. Enjoy!
We've always found a great variety of healthy plants, including many native species at very good prices. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional . We always enjoy our visits there.
I adore this store. My garden looks so beautiful with all the plants I have adopted from Painters! I even just love BEING there, it's like a magical botanical garden that you're actually allowed to touch and buy from. The Spring Festival is a blast.
