Their constant turnover of staff is concerning. The first doctor I saw for orthopedic pain (head orthopedic surgeon, Dr Webb) offered no help and instead just told me to stop using my hand. He had a visiting doctor in the room with him and they laughed about my case together. He said I should stop using my (dominant) hand and that “that’s what husbands are for”. What a hospital for a small town. I love this location. The employee's are rockstars here. ALL of them. Thank you Pagosa for offering a great hospital to all of us here visiting and living in this town.

Pagosa Springs Medical Center continues to give outstanding care, especially in their EMERGENCY ROOM! Over the past several years, we have rushed to the ER several times. We especially want to thank all of the ER staff for the immediate, professional and thorough care that I was given twice this month! I did not have to wait for examination and testing to begin. I called multiple times to make an appointment, and I even left a voice mail. They kept sending me to different departments, and finally, they said to just walk in. So I walked into the clinic, checked in, and waited. Waited for 2 hours and nothing, had to cancel and go back to work. They could have told there were multiple people in front of me

I have never received poor and judgemental care from any medical until being seen at PSMC. Judgmental and insufficient care from primary, specialty and ER services. The ER said they could not help or do anything. I went to Mercy in Durango and was immediately referred to Spine Colorado. Established care with one PCP, she left after a month and now there is a waitlist out 3 months. Hardly any Medical Doctors to see. They all appear to be NP's. Incredibly disappointed.
