The service is REALLY going down hill!!!!! – My family stays in Seattle every year for the Thanksgiving holiday. It has been a tradition for the past 5 years. For the last 2 years we have stayed at the Fairmont. The hotel is very nice, convenient to the holiday activities and has afternoon tea. We have been going to Afternoon Tea for the past 4 years. We have had great service every time we have gone whether it was for dinner or tea. This year we had a group of friends join us, because they thought the tradition was a wonder... read more

Way Over rated, do not waste your money – I took my wife and my son to the Plaza over Labor Day weekend, we reserved there "Edwardain Suite" at $1500.00per night plus room taxes. What a waste of money, the service was terrible, the room nothing as described( small & cramped ), we where told we had a butler, ya we saw him once in 4 days, we ordered silverware & plates to the room we waited over one hour and a half and NEVER received anything. I spent over $6000.00 for three nights, what a waste of money!!!!!!! DO NOT MAKE THE... read more

Impressive food & service – If you're searching for a place that truly has that 'top chef' experience and is special enough for let's say a milestone birthday & anniversary, this is it! It is a tasting menu so each course is a few bites, but you can choose between the number of courses. We chose the max number & chef's choice, so each course was a surprise. The service was exceptional. It is the only 5 star rated restaurant and it is easy to see why. It is pricey, but worth it.

best chinese food i have tasted in a long time – we got a groupon for pagoda and decided to try it on a thursday night. there was a guy playing the piano and singing at the bar area which was separate from the dinning area. You can easily hear him though so it was a pleasant sound and not overbearing. the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and good for fine dinning. not too fine thought that you feel uncomfortable and have to dress up. the staff was very nice and courteous and obviously chinese. we ordered the honey walnut ... read more

Aria at the Fairmont Hotel – I dined at Aria and it was terrific! We started out on their new patio with some refreshing white wine and the coconut soup as an appetizer and then went into the restaurant for dinner. The food, service and decor were amazing. The restaurant just hired a new chef and he has revised the menu. It was great before and now it is Fantastic! He came and said hello to us too. We loved the coconut Soup appetizer and we had the wagyu beef that melted in your mouth. Chef even sent out gratis, a lovely tas... read more

Citysearch Editorial Review – Housed in what was formerly Jordan's, the new Meritage at the Claremont--presided over by former French Laundry chef Josh Thomsen--emphasizes the relationship between wine and food. Every dish has a suggested wine pairing, and each one, from the Castroville artichoke soup to the Niman Ranch filet mignon, is available in a full- or half-size serving. The space itself has been thoroughly redone into three distinct sections: a wood-accented lounge that's reminiscent of a study; a black-and-white ti... read more
