Could Have Been In Balogna Italy – The menu has great selections no matter your taste. And the wine list does not disappoint either. We had a party of 10 and everybody was very satisfied with the food, drink and service. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
East Side NY Gem – This Restaurant is an amazing gem located on the east side. Antonio & Mario Cerra greet you as if you were family and make you feel like you are a restaurant regular regardless if this is the first time you have ever visited. The wait staff is a tentative and knowledgeable and the food is delicious. My party enjoyed the oyster’s casino appetizer followed by a pasta sampler and concluded with Dover Sole, Tuna that was amazing, and Crab stuffed Madagascar Prawns the size of lobster tails. We went on a night ... read more
Great Food with an Incredible deal! – Absolutely incredible food. The staff was even better! To top it off, I found this deal for a $40 gift certificate for only $18 bucks. I got to enjoy all of this great food for more than 50% off. Look at halfoffdepot if you are interested in the deal. It is worth the full price, but out of this world for half off!
Business response:
I am the owner of Padre Figlio, Antonio Cerra. While I am happy that you enjoyed our food, if I didn't know any better, I would guess you more interested in promoting halfoffdepot than the fact that you had a great meal at my restaurant. Why would you not detail the why's you enjoyed your dinner instead? Also, may I ask what day were you in at Padre Figlio? Thank you, Antonio Cerra
In the presence of professionals – There is something about Padre Figlio, which just tells you they know what they are doing. It starts with the hostess, who greets you by name even though you have never been there before and have not announced yourself. The Maitre D’ proceeds to announce the voluminous specials of the day, including the ingredients and the method of preparation…just so. We were not interested in just beef, I wanted to see what the chef can do and even this jaded New Yorker was impressed. Some of us started ... read more
One of the best places in New York – I went there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. I must say I was rather impressed with the menu, Not to fancy but not to ordinary either. The food was fantastic as well as the tiramisu which I highly recommend. The service was great not on top of you but not away from you that you couldn't find the waiter. I highly recommend this spot as a great place for a romantic dinner with your significant other
Perfect Italian.. – This is my first review to citysearch. The absolute best food I've had in NY. Worth the wait and the price. I had the lobster ravioli which amazingly melted in your mouth. The service was gracious and prompt. If I could afford it, I'd eat there all the time!
Very Good Restaurant – We were hoping the food was going to be as nice as the restaurant itself.....we weren't disappointed. I had a fantastic steak and my wife had some delicious pasta. The wine list was exceptional and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent dining experience! – From the moment you walk into the charming looking place you are welcomed by everyone from the bartender to the host/owners. The host Mario and Antonio were very eager to let me know all the specials in such details that I felt I was cooking the meal with them. No surprise the pasta was excellent (try the lobster ravioli- its out of this world). All in all this is a great place to take your boss or boyfriend. It?s delicious and reasonably priced, and will fit for any occasion.
Despite its proximity to the U.N., this eastside steakhouse stays true to its owners' Italian heritage. – In Short The padre and figlio in question are the father and son team who operated Da Antonio for years. The've settled comfortably into their new, upscale Italian steakhouse, located about as far east as you can go before your hat floats. The richly appointed, dimly lit room boasts trompe l'oeil bookshelf wallpaper, jewel-tone fabrics and low ceilings like a grotto in Rome. Owners Mario and Antonio Cerra warmly welcome ... read more
