Dr.Sánaka is a prime example of what is wrong with womens healthcare. I have hypermesis garvidarium and she completely blew it off like it was nothing. Kept saying it was just morning sickness. She told me that there are treatment plans for this condition and yet didn’t set me up on one or give me any medication to help with my constant vomiting. As a cancer patient I’ve had LOTS of doctors. She is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. 10 weeks pregnant and started having bleeding and cramping so I go in and I’m scheduled with her due to my dr being off today & she was so unprofessional. Basically Told me my brain tumor wasn’t cancer and made me out to be dumb when I’ve been the one fighting this nasty disease for 4 years now. I left my room bawling my eyes out. Incredibly insensitive and refused to stop when I cried and screamed. I brought my boyfriend with me for comfort and she kept talking to him about my problems rather than me. I was pressured and shamed for not being on birth control because I want to avoid the side effects. The absolute worst medical experience I've ever had, and that's saying something. I also was not told what a culture was until it was already done. If you're on the fence, DON'T. Take a recommendation from a close friend or family.
