Oceanside in Aspen – I was a little leery of ordering oysters on a Sunday night. (12 years in Colorado have taught me to avoid anything from the ocean on Sundays and Mondays.) I was amazed to have oysters as fresh as I've tasted on any shore. My husband had the Dungeness crab which was an extraordinary value and had the most amazing dipping sauce I've tasted in some time. Fun and fanciful dining experience in the heart of Aspen. – In Short Friendly and casually elegant, this seafood spot is open and airy in the summer and cozy in the winter. The L-shaped restaurant features an exposed kitchen and an enticing raw bar. Starters include crispy Maine and blue crab cake atop sweet corn salsa. For entrees, there's mustard-crusted trout with crab served atop a bed of vegetables circled by sauce. The fish may be eaten clean or dipped for a more complex taste.

A Definite Choice for Dinner! – Of all the restaurants we visted in Aspen, this was our favorite! Our foursome enjoyed every bite. I can personally vouch for the boulliabaise which was incredible. Everything tastes very fresh. Pacifica also has an excellent wine list (and some that aren't on the list if you ask for the wine expert.) We received excellent service. The place is fairly small, so I suggest calling ahead for reservations. I will definitely go back.
