Dr Hu was very rude. If you are a trans person I’d stay clear of her. she is not affirming at all. Doesn’t care to ask any questions. Completely dismisses you and kept claiming I was getting my information from AI/ chatgbt. literally have never used either in my life and I explained that but she didn’t care. She is not personable at all, and had no empathy towards my situation at all.
I visited this clinic a few times and saw Dr. Amanda Hui. Although she ultimately wasn’t able to help with my vocal cord issue, I had no problem with the care I received from her. I appreciated that she tried to help, and my frustration is not with her treatment. It’s the clinic’s communication and administration. I saw Dr. Hu and her resident for a frozen vocal fold 3 weeks post thyroid surgery. I found the clinic reassurring. The tests were a bit invasive but comfortable enough. Dr. Hu was knowledgable and explained her approach very clearly. Because more throid surgery is necessary, she thought it best to wait until the primary surgeon carried out his work.
