Wow, I've been around the block quite a few times now across the Bay Area healthcare system, caring for my multi-generational family, and Dr. Ruiz is sure a winner--he really takes the cake! Office staff is rude and unprofessional, girl called security on me because I told her she was rude and I was going record our conversation to let the doctor hear what her service is like, Office manager just as bad, no compassion or kindness for customers. I won't be back sorry doctor.
I have seen Dr. Ruiz as a rheumatologist and often bring new ideas or treatment options to discuss. Unfortunately, he does not seem interested in exploring or learning about alternative approaches outside standard protocols. His style is very “by the book” and focused on the same medications, even when they may help one condition but cause significant side effects for others. Dr. Magnano is one of the kindest and most responsive doctors I have ever met! She carefully examined all of my symptoms and alleviated alot of my concerns. It is not hard to make an appointment, and she responds to messages and test results very quickly.
Staff is perfectly pleasant. Dr. Ruiz is a busy doctor but sits patiently and attentively until all my questions are answered. He seems to genuinely care, keeps up with changes in my case and plots my path toward remission. Just respect any provider time by coming with a clear list of concise questions and you will come away satisfied.
