Worst experience ever! Kitchen wasn’t working and they kept saying they’d send maintenance. Nothing happened and pipes stayed frozen so finally had to cut trip short due to cabin kitchen not working. Mt. Hood office and manager Cari ghosted us for over 3 weeks and still won’t give a proper refund.I will never use this company again. They obviously don’t care about the customer or repeat business.
We stayed at one of their properties in Mt Hood and had a pretty nightmare experience. We had to evacuate the house at 9:30 PM because the Carbon Monoxide alarm was going off. The fire department showed up 45 minutes later to scan the house and recommended we not stay at the house. The worst part of this was that this was the second time it happened at this property in a month. The fireman were asking the property owner if any steps had been taken since the last time. Horrible rental that was misleading by Pictures as well. Sea star in Lincoln city rented thru Meredith Lodging. Whole House smelled like Dog Pee. stained carpets thru out. No heat, use a space heater, no pillows on some Beds. Only 2 Knives and 2 Spoons for utensils. Yard hadn't been maintained for years. Wi fi not working or TV. Called when we arrived and Meredith Lodging was not willing to give a refund. I stayed at a Meredith Lodging property earlier this month with my family and we had a very bad experience. The fireplace, hot tub, TV, and washing machine either didn't work, or barely worked. We tried to contact them, but they were not responsive. A man who said he was a service technician came to the property to fix the washing machine and they never notified us. We booked a rental home for 12 people for 5 days. Got there and the oven did not work. Called maintenance who were very helpful. They came looked at it said they would be back the next day to replace it. I had spoken to Meredith Lodging 2 days prior to our arrival about an early check in. I had actually talked to multiple people 2 days in a row prior to our arrival. We booked a house through VRBO and specifically searched for "pet friendly" homes. When we looked back at our reservation a few days before our trip we realized that the house was not pet friendly. We have tried dealing with VRBO and Meredith Lodging directly to explain this was a problem with the booking system or maybe how it was listed, but they will not allow us out of reservation which means we will have to pay for a home we can not stay in because we have no where for our dogs to go. The home Crown Jewel is absolutely spectacular. As soon as you drive up to the home you can already see the ocean wrapping around you. The upstairs area has both the main Livingroom and kitchen. The tv is massive and the fireplace is so cozy! There is an amazing massage chair that is so much better than any other chair like that I've ever been in. I recently stayed in ID 147 surf and sand on 7480 Logan rd. in Lincoln city. My fiancé rented it for my birthday from Friday, April 17 to Sunday April 19. We were very unhappy with our stay. There were cobwebs all over the ceiling in every room. When we first came in and walked up the stairs there was a bobby pin and a dime on the steps. There were black hairs in the bathroom upstairs in the sand in the hot tub. The Wi-Fi as well as the cable would not work anywhere in the house.
