Noisy! Extremely noisy! Very cold in winter and hot in summer, poor insulation. I gave one star for good location, otherwise not a good place to live.
I’ve lived here for 6 months now, and it’s a quiet and safe complex and enjoy the neighborhood feel, while still being close to the San Mateo community with a lot of restaurants. It’s just a short drive to down town. The townhomes are clean and public areas are maintained well. The people here mostly keep to themselves but everyone has been friendly.
We've lived in this townhouse at Pacific Gardens for over six months. It is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood even with the robust and thriving community around us. There are lots of good restaurants and CalTrain is close by. It has all the benefits of being close to downtown San Mateo without having to actually live there. The community is clean and well maintained, and feels very safe. The people are friendly and generally mind their own business.
You will love this place if you like NOISE. Adjacent on the north side to this townhouse is an alley way and parking lot of the Great Entertainer pool hall, garage of the Satellite Dialysis and Wellbound. During the day and night vans (pic) are delivering people to Satellite Dialysis. When they backup, you will hear a high pitch loud beep. Anytime from 6am-3pm, you will hear garbage trucks, large metal bins that make vibrating metal noise.
