The executive director at PACES is not good at her job. This was the worst work experience I’ve ever had. Staff are often talked down to, ignored, or blamed for things that aren’t their fault. If you want to feel unappreciated and miserable, this is the place. There is a lot of favoritism, especially with the trainer Amber, who does not have any real education or training in mental health. I worked here for a very short time in 2018. Immediately after starting, our direct supervisor quit (she was burnt out and hated the directors). We had no supervision for crisis and suicidal cases. I CCed upper management on emails for guidance and couldn’t even get a response. During team meetings, the director would talk about her “glory days” as a supervisor 10+ years ago. If you get the old mean psychiatrist please switch to another, she isn’t there to help. She tried gaslighting me about my medication saying that I wasn’t taking it when I was forcing my family to get them. I can show proof that the doctor from the hospital approved my meds over and over again.
