This place is a great place to hike trails with my dogs in the cooler months. It’s also becoming my favorite place to ride my rode bike. There’s a bike lane through the whole park and with little car traffic making me feel safe. Add in the rolling hills and it’s also a great workout.
Great place, very relaxing to be
I booked my daughter and I an hr of horseback riding on their trails. We are absolutely new to horseback riding, and we were treated so wonderfully, taught exactly what to do in different situation and were given clear instructions! My daughter who is 10, felt confident and enjoyed every min of the ride. The guides we wonderful and we had a great time. The scenery of the trails in the park are just beautiful, all natural Florida! Would do this again in a heart beat!
We visited our first time this Mother’s Day and loved it! We went to the beach, bike riding, & canoeing on the beautiful lake. We def. plan to come back since it is a short drive from where we live and also plan to go camping in the future! We saw an alligator and some deer at dusk which made our day. My family loved coming here and our kids had a blast! The rangers were friendly and offered us a map. $5 to enter is a minimal fee to enjoy such beauty! Well worth the trip!
Very nice park but we were here in May and too hot to enjoy bike riding or hiking. I’d come back between November and April. Not a ton to do but accessibility to so many lakes makes it beautiful. The campground is rather open—some sites are VERY open. Would enjoy more in cooler weather
First time stay in one of their cabins, stunning views and what an amazing time! Can’t wait to come back!
It's a nice park. Having to pay just to enter a state park I find disappointing. I'm originally from Missouri and you don't pay to enter any state par and they have an excellent trail system. The park itself seems very nicely maintained . It would be nice if there were trail maps not just the ones you scan. I drove through entire park and the campgrounds appeared very nice. I doubt that I would return.
Really fun place to visit and hang out with the family. Easy to get to the beach area. Not crowded at all really enjoyable. Very clean as well. Parking is 5 dollars but it’s good for all day.
