I was impressed with Dr. Thompson. He was friendly, explained what he was doing and then explained the procedure that he would be doing. He made me feel comfortable
Great. He explained thoroughly what was happening.
Dr. Thompson removed cataracts from both of my wife's eyes this past Feb. and March. Afterwards she revisited his office and called multiple times complaining with blurred vision in both eyes. To my dismay, no action was done to rectify the problem. Was told she just couldn't take pain. How ridiculous! She was later diagnosed with serious macular edema, both eyes. She requires my constant help. This problem may very well been resolved with aftercare so inadequately, unprofessionally provided.
Dr told my mom cataract surgery can only be done w/needles, yet my spouse's aunt had laser cataract surgery 3 yrs ago. Afterward, Mom had eye pain that grew worse, her vision got worse than b/f the surgery, & she almost had a car accident. Dr's response? She just can't deal w/pain. A retina specialist later diagnosed her with macular edema & confirmed the surgery caused it. Even w/glasses, Mom can't see to read, watch TV, or drive. Prognoses: Vision might not improve and could even get worse!
Dr. Thompson performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. I began having blurred vision in both my eyes. I went by his office on two separate occasions complaining with my vision. Dr. Thompson treated me as if I were an idiot.I was assured my vision was fine. I later called and spoke with his nurse and was told nothing was wrong. I went back later and saw one of the other Dr''s. He immediately discovered macular edema in both eyes. Am under care of retina specialist. Still very bad vision.
Very Knowledgeable and Professional. Explains everything, takes his time and will answer all questions. Very kind and friendly. Excellent Surgeon! Restored my night vision. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson
