I am a chronic grinder. In my late 30’s my dentist informed me “your gums are receding because you grind.” They fashioned me a night guard, that resulted in my teeth shifting and caused my bite to shift where my front teeth were striking. Queue Dr. Ozier - who I had last seen when I was in grade school. Dr. Ozier explained that my overbite was putting tension on the back of my jaw.
