Stopped in by chance and had some great food, service and drinks! We will be back the next time that we are in Charleston!
The oysters were fantastic. My waiter Ronnie was a sweetheart, making excellent recommendations from the oysters to the shrimp & grits. A delightful dining experience.

I just moved here and it's my go-to place for oysters and all around fun. Brittany and Jason behind the bar, Eric and Greg shucking, and Steve managing made for several fun and memorable visits. Add this restaurant to the short list of really fine places to eat downtown. Their location (right at the Market) could be a blessing or a curse, as very high visibility would assure a high volume of customers simply because everyone passes by. My wife and I had the best dining experiences of our lives at the Oyster House. Grant was a gracious server and Eric is an expert in Oysters. We sampled ,ate and were treated like royalty. Eric gave personalized service and educated us on the ins and outs of Oysters. I would recommend the OYSTER House to any one that enjoys seafood and is looking for a great dining experience. Way to go Oyster House!
Phenomenal! Highly recommend. Superb service by John, fantastic food and drink, all set within a lovely decor just steps away from the market. We will be making the 4 hour trip again just to eat at this restaurant. If you are lucky enough to have John as your server you will have a memorable meal.
