I had an appointment with Dr. Aderibigbe, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I specifically chose her because we share the same nationality, and I was hoping that would give her a deeper understanding of my skin concerns and the unique challenges that can come with treating skin of color. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. From the moment she walked in and casually asked, “What is your concern?”, I didn’t feel heard or cared for. I had scheduled this visit as a full body skin check, expecting a thorough evaluation... read more
Having Dr. A as my dermatologist was a disappointing experience. I originally was very impressed with her, I came in with a cyst on my clavicle and she was able to do a punch biopsy that day. I came back for a skin exam a few months later and it felt very rushed. I had seborrheic dermatitis which she recommended treating with hydrocortisone cream, but didn't elaborate on how it would help/how much to use. In early January, I developed a large rash around my mouth area and neck. I was able to see her for an emergency appointm... read more
Dr. Aderibigbe is extremely empathetic and good at what she does! Appointments with her are very quick and efficient, she asks the right questions and quickly figures out the right skincare needs and products/prescriptions for conditions. She’s very honest about all options and has never failed me with what she recommends or prescribed. Highly recommend booking an appointment with her if you need a dermatologist, especially for help with eczema.
I Was not impressed, VERY RUSHED! Did not show true compassion. I’m not sure if it was just an “off” day for her, but I was extremely disappointed especially with her being the only black dermatologist in close proximity to me. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. She stayed in the room for max of 5 minutes. I do not even believe she actually touched my face and examined it. Maybe she should stop excepting new patients, if overwhelmed.
