I had an appointment today on Saturday at 9:50am and checked in around 9:35-9:40am. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and since it was my first visit to this bupa medical centre, they checked my Bupa OVC card for confirming no gap fee. I saw Dr Allison Ward at around 9:45-9:50am. Consultation was quick but she clarified everything and was very kind and professional throughout. I had an appalling experience with Dr. Lei Cao here. I came in seeking a Mental Health Care Plan ahead of a scheduled psychologist's visit. Despite meeting the criteria overwhelmingly, he repeatedly tried to insist I shouldn't get one, that I should go to a psychiatrist of his choosing for ADHD assessment instead, and come back for another appointment with him for the Plan. Pretty much a bad experience with the all the people I’ve encountered in this medical center: 1. the receptionists. I called to know where the medical center was because I couldn’t find it (they changed the name from “Oxford st village medical centre” to “Darlinghurst medical” which didn’t help).
