Own Up gives your information to 3rd parties to call you and they say they will not give you mortgage rates unless you give your social security number! This was not stated when taking their "quiz" they walk you into to see what is available in your state. I asked the ones who called me immediately are they located in my state and their response was "No, but we are nation wide! And we can't give you any rates unless you give us your SSN." I applied and got denied which is extremely surprising seeing as how I’ve been approved at other lenders including Bank of America. Didn’t ask for my social nor did I put it in but magically pulled my credit report. I wouldn’t trust this company as far as I can throw them. I feel sorry for whomever credit was actually pulled because after checking mine wasn’t pulled at all.
