He is Like a used car Sales man This guy is to much he is all about the dollar not about caring and treating your animals. He trys to sell you everything he can. Even though you didn't go to him for that. I did some asking around and found a former employee. They told me that he would take problem animal in the back and do whatever to it to get it to hold still. Horrible experience with Slovon I have to admit I found Dr. Sovon uncaring and basically terrible. He gave my puppy a vaccine that he had received only 8 days earlier because he said it was a requirement for the guarantee from Just Puppies. He had his stool checked and said it was negative. He did not send it to a lab. I had my regular vet, Dr. Bill Benson, do the check-up the next day. I found that my puppy was not a pure breed and that he had been given unnecessary vaccine by Slovon. My vet also found parasites in my puppy... read more
There are other vets in Owings Mills. He is truley horrible. I went to him a few times because he is close to wear I live. One of my cats licked off his hair. He told me the cat was depressed and needed prozac indefinately. When he was to perform a declaw on my cat he wanted to charge me extra for an additional service because my cat weighed 2 pounds more. This vet is a crook and should be ashamed of himself A few years ago I purchased a spay certificate from the SPCA. This was supposed to cover COSTS to spay my cat. I brought my cat in for the appt. The vet tells me that if I want my cat to have sedation, heart monitoring and a few other things that should have been included, I would have to pay extra. I brought the fact that I thought all of this was included to his attention and he made think I didn't know what I was talking about. It ended up costing me an additional $150.... read more
Never go there The Dr. Slovon just caring all about the dollar not about treating your animals. He is over charged for service. He will only do services if it involves money. Please do your pets a favor and don't go there.
Stay Away I felt like I was in one big marketing gimmick worse than buying a used car. However, the absolute horrid experience was on my second visit, when the doctor injected my puppy with the Lyme's vaccine which I refused and made clear that I did not want. He was injecting my puppy so fast that the vaccine shot out on to my hand, my puppy's back and on the table. A great experience with Dr. Slovan After reading these last few reviews I'm glad that I went to see him first, before checking him out online. Had I done that I never would have gotten the truly superb service that received when I brought my new puppy Charlie in. The vet techs are extreamly careing, and Dr. Slovan is very knowledgeable in what he does. Never go there The previous review was correct. He signed up with a pet store that sells puppy-mill puppies to get the extra income. He will only do services if it involves money. Yes, we all need to make a living, but he spends his day figuring out how he can nickle and dime people. It's always rush, rush, rush unless you're going to spend lots of money. Please do your pets a favor and don't go there.
