Editorial fromThe little bungalow under its looming banyan tree went through a major overhaul in early 2010 to emerge as a moderately priced fish "shack" with enough ironic winks that tony Sarasota has embraced slumming it in precisely this way. Under…

We had a wonderful time. When we arrived we were told there was an hour wait to be seated. Bummer because we were pressed for time. We told the hostess and she said no problem, you can order at the bar. Same food, we sat out back on the patio. Great food and nice blue grass music. I had the burger with pimento cheese, it was delicious!

This is a great place! So different but so cool! Pet friendly! Service was excellent. Owner was constantly walking thru asking how our food was, if everything was ok. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend the great place!!

Food was great! Would definitely say that with the volume of people that patronize this establishment and the amount of beverages consumed...you could benefit from expanding the restrooms to more than just one at a time. My dinner arrived and was on the way to being cold as I stood in line to use the bathroom.

The best things happen and the best people gather at this Caragiulo family-owned restaurant. This is The Fish Place that Sarasota never had, but always needed. One visit is not sufficient to explore the menu, the decor, and the setting. There's always something previously unnoticed that makes me smile. As far as the fare goes, Owen's Fish Camp's offerings should place it at the top of most anyone's list. Start with fire roasted oysters in the backyard by the bluegrass band, and some Good, Decent, or Cheap wine, fish spread &... read more

Food and service are always excellent, and they have the best backyard in Florida. Even if there is no waiting list, you need to go hang out there first!

Cool vibe with many unique spaces to hang. The Oysters Rockefeller was delish! Paired well with the Kentucky Bourbon Ale and warm spring wind.

Combine old Florida funk with tasty seafood and you get Owen's Fish Camp. Get there early (they don't take reservations) and take a seat outside to enjoy a cocktail or two while listening to live music. It's a must visit when in Sarasota! Make an evening of it.
