I have had the pleasure to do business with this store since its opening.I have found them to be most accommodating and a true pleasure to do business with.I have a collection of watches which represent the loved ones I have lost in death.I have watches instead of tomb stones. Other have found this idea ridiculous, however, he has not criticized me, but has been most willing to repair when needed. Went to Overton Jewelers to have some jewelery repaired. Female service lady was very nice. Actual jewelery repair guy (owner) was rude and not service oriented at all. Looked at the repairs and tossed them on the counter and said the repairs would cost more than the jewelery was worth. The jewelery in question was from my father that had recently passed away...even though the actual value of the jewelery was low...it had great sentimental value and to treat it that was was deplorible. I believe that if there were more people in business like Mr. Overton and his staff, that the world would be a better place. He and his staff make you feel like you are the only customer that they are open for. I appreciate that when I am either shopping for jewlery or selling gold. No matter to them I am just THEIR customer...
David Overton cheated me and threatened me. He was commissioned to create a family ring. He farmed out the job and then charged me 50% more to re-do it! Still funny looking. Then he threatened me with the magistrate when I told him it was unfair. Life is too short to deal with people like that.
David Overton is a VERY, VERY, VERY rude man.
