Wanting to be a good ambassador for Napa Valley, I felt compelled to share my dining experience. Given I live in the neighborhood, I really wanted this restaurant to succeed. Unfortunately my dining experiences their have gone from fair to poor. If it weren't for the imbalance of positive reviews at this site, I may have given Oventi 2 stars, but for sake of balance, 1 is required. Calamari smelled RANK. The spaghetti smelled like FEET. I'm all for intense aromas in Mediterranean cuisine, but this food was bad. Their micro brews were equally as unimpressive. A lot of potential for a bloated menu; would have loved for it to have been small. I would trust your paella if there wasn't 60 other items on your menu competing for attention. I ordered the chicken sandwich to play it safe and was still unimpressed. Mediocre at best.
New favorite restaurant in Napa. Fabulous food, varied menu, good portions, friendly staff, biggest dining room in the Valley. Always an excellent dining experience!
Our company (based in San Jose, CA) picked Oventi for our second quarterly meeting this year. We used Oventi's private room for 8 hours and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Our group of 42 employees enjoyed the service and food. The menu is absolutely great with wide sections of decent and appropriately priced dishes. We highly recommend this place. Thanks Ovenit!!
I came here about a month ago and tried their paella, and it was excellent! I've had paella in Spain, and this was easily on the same level.
