I loved living here. It has everything I need within walking distance and it’s right down the street from the beach! My neighbors were really friendly but everyone still seemed to mind their business which I liked. Maintenance responds very quickly! The building is very old & I believe it was a school in the early 1900s but the new management has done a good job at keeping up with property. If we had the money to leave, we would. When new owners took over so did the roaches and shortly after so did the rats. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they fixed the bug and rat problem. Did not renew tenants that have been there for years so they could increase the rent for new tenants. Went from 1050 with utilities to now 1400 with no utilities. Not only did they lose a tenant but future home buyer. Apartment was not cleaned after the previous tenant, and none of the holes he/she put in the wall repaired. Roaches were EVERYWHERE no matter what we did. Finally figured out they were breeding in the motor works of the oven and fridge, handled it ourselves (Combat Max Roach Killing Gel). Still get roaches from gaps in the walls and floors. Photos of roaches are just since we stopped them breeding in our apartment. This place was great when it was managed by the former owner. The new owner is a slum lord and the management team is incompetent. They are going to increase rent and make us pay utilities that were previously covered. They are making us pay water but there is only one water meter for the whole property. So they’re even making us pay for the water used in the laundry room that tenants are already paying to use when they pay for the washing machine.
