Our full day kayaking trip was amazing! We received the trip as a wedding gift and we were so thrilled. Patrick was great and knew so much about the island, the animals, and how to kayak. He explained things very well and was helpful the entire trip. We saw eagles, porpoise, so many jellyfish, seals, and other animals along the way. The next time we're in Washington I definitely want to go kayaking again with Outdoor Odysseys.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Outdoor Odysseys. I went on the 4 day kayak trip and our guide Jennifer was a rockstar. So knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, fun and am amazing cook. This was the most fun I’ve had on a group trip. Mark was also a great guide. Thank you all for an experience that I’ll never forget.
Just returned from a 4 day/3 night kayak tour with my best friend, 9 not-so-strangers anymore, and 2 amazing guides. We saw and learned all sorts of amazing things! Our fearless leader, Jennifer, was a bad ass independent woman who is insanely knowledgeable and an amazing chef. Literally she needs to publish a camping cook book. Both Jennifer and Mark were so enjoyable to be around and made everything flow so smoothly. What a beautiful trip to hold in my memory box! Highly recommended - thank you!
I just returned back home from my Washington trip and must say that one of the highlights of my trip was our tour guide Matt (affectionately nicknamed Papa Smurf because of his goofy hat). Matt was extremely competent to say the least and also personable and funny. The meals were absolutely delicious and the two other single travelers and myself all had a wonderful time on this trip. Last June I took a 4 day/3 night tour with Outdoor Odyssey...I dream daily of how I can go back to the San Juan Islands and take another tour! I had never been camping or sea kayaking before (just some lake kayaking), so I was really jumping into it and hoping for the best. As a total beginner, I can confirm that anyone with some muscle tone, a sense of humor, and a desire to paddle and enjoy the outdoors can easily enjoy these trips! They acted like we where old friends inviting us into there kitchen and cooking amazing meals for our entire stay. Your entire organization is a class act that you can be extremely proud of.
