I contacted tech support two weeks ago and I was told that I was taking up the time of "more high value customers." I emailed and messaged Outback immediately and have yet to hear a response. My need is urgent and I cannot seem to get any help.
I have 2 GS8048 inverters that are barely out of warranty. In the time I've had these, the power supply boards have self destructed at least 3 times. It's always the exact same component that burns for no apparent reason. I've been told by three different individuals (two of which work for Outback) that this is a design flaw, which is fairly obvious. So instead of fixing the problem, their solution is to discontinue this model & replace it with the GS8048A. This leaves those of us that own the older model with a defective pr... read more
In the technical service, I have not had a good experience with it since I sent an FM80 for repair a second time and still have the same problem. And I have no answer from anyone.
Recommended10K Solar ac coupled system has been great. Runs everything that we could want and acts as a backup system for hurricanes.
