Do not have your car serviced at Ourisman Bethesda unless you want poor workmanship, frequent delays, and overall frustration. I purchased my Volvo XC90 from Ourisman along with the extended warranty and prepaid maintenance plan. I brought it in for scheduled maintenance and because it was displaying a Check Engine light. The Service Advisor informed me the engine suffered a misfire and cylinder 2 needed to be scoped. After scoping, he said the car needed an engine swap. Volkswagon of Bethesda agreed in negations on a new Tiguan lease to refund my $406. 59 that left my account (and was not yet credited by volkswagon to my previous lease, a 2021 Tiguan. The lease payment pays for the future month. They pulled a payoff that did not include it and told me Volkswagon credit would refund that amount once a payoff was sent. They damaged my car while servicing it. They broke the shifter mechanism and then took 4 months to fix it. They are now asking me to pay over $3800 for the repair work.

I bought a new VW Golf that was damaged, unbeknownst to me, right before I drove it off the lot. In an attempt to drill holes with a screwdriver for the license plate, the car was damaged. Two half holes were attempted before the drill was used. I now have 4 holes on my bumper where there should only be two. Once I removed the temp plates and discovered all these holes on my bumper, I reached out to the folks at Ourisman with my concern, only to be dismissed. Beware of their service department. They overbill with reckless abandon. The invoice for a simple three hour job I recently had done came with an extra hour of labor. The service manager and line account managers are all in on the scheming together so don't expect to to be heard by anyone. Nor by corporate VW. Ourisman is independantly owned and operated.
