Still the best – I have lived in Yorkville all of my life and for the last 17 years Our Place has been my favorite chinese restaurant. They catered my sweet sixteen and many years later I hosted my father's 60th birthday party there. Everyone raved over the food. It's as tasty now as it was all those years ago and I still have cravings for my favorite dishes just by walking past it's doors. Best Chinese food in town – A friend brought me to this place for dim sum, and the food was SUPERB. We ordered Grand Mariner Prawns, Har Gau, dumplings, and crab claws. The prawns were just delicious. They were huge and creamy, with just a taste of tangerine. The service is pretty good too. I also got takeout -- their delivery was punctual and the food still steaming. Nice place to bring your friends or family for a treat!
Delicious Food, Good Ambience and Service – I first went to Our Place about a month ago with a couple of friends, and the first thing that struck me about it was the food. Everything was absolutely delectable! Their ribs and the Shanghai soup dumplings were really good, but the Peking duck was my favorite. best chinese food in the nyc – This is the best chinese restaurant in the city. I would like to recommend a few dishes: BBQ ribs(it's a very fresh, tasty and delicious), the chicken with spainch and walunts, the duet prawns, the shredred crispy beef, it is all delicious. I would say this is the best chinese restaurant in the up east side as well as in the city.
Still the best Chinese north of Shun Lee. A great place to go after a day at the MET. Good reliable New York Style Chinese food, won't disappoint. – Our Place is not where we go to be surprised, or to challenge our taste buds, for that we go to Wu Liang Yee, or Little Pepper in Queens. Best in the east side – the three of us were starving and we wanted chinese very badly. we didn't want to go all the way to chinatown, so went to Our Place instead. we weren't dissapointed at all! their savory ribs, and spicy sprimp. this is the place is better than chinatown, and beats the long subway ride if you live on the upper east side.
DO NOT GO – This was some of the blandest, most uncreative, and overpriced chinese i've ever had. This is not real Chinese food at all. Service was also terrible, slow and rude. Waiter was unable to make any reccomendations as to dishes. I repeat: stay away.
