An Indian lady did my ultrasound, and during the procedure my pants were pulled down so far — almost to my mid-thigh — that my private area became exposed. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I don’t believe it was necessary for the ultrasound. I also feel bad that I couldn’t speak up for myself at the time because I was already going through a difficult situation, but I want to share this so others are aware and so patient comfort can be improved.
Booking was unproblematic, and there was plenty of availability. My appointment experience was not positive - specifically with the male doctor who prescribed my medication, I felt quite patronised, like my concerns were dismissed and he did not explain things particularly well despite my questions. I had bleeding on arrival and my uterus was empty on scanning - I was simply told it could be a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, and left with an ectopic guidance sheet; staff scanning seemed quite flippant and robotic. I had my iud inserted here and the staff were AMAZING. So caring and friendly, they made the experience so much more comfortable than I expected going in. These ladies were my rock throughout the entire process.
