Update: I returned (3 years later, with the same friend!) and I was impressed with the improvement. The menu prices are now in line similar restaurants, and the portions were filling. We both had leftovers to enjoy. I love good surprises and revised my rating from 3 to 5. The servers were friendly and attentive. The decor was bland, and the dishes belong in a family buffet, not in a $14-15 per plate restaurant. The food tasted fresh and well flavored, but the portions were not a good value for the price. I had high hopes for this place, it’s so hard to find good Mexican breakfast/brunch here in Vancouver. Walking in we were crammed into a tiny waiting area where we waited to be seated along with a few other guests, it didn’t bother me too much because often times that’s a good sign that the food is worth it lol. We were seated pretty quickly but the chairs were sooo uncomfortable, think outside patio chairs that cafes put out to avoid people from staying too long and using up the wi-fi.
