We are a senior living community located in Wheeling Illinois and have a total of eight elevators all under contract. In our independent living we have two elevators but only one goes to our forth floor and on that one we have a 24/7 contract. It went down last night, Thanksgiving Eve and reportedly they sent out a technician over night but he was unable to make the necessary repairs. Would give negative stars if that were possible. The elevator in our building has been "down for maintenance" since May 1st, 2024. Otis Elevator Company is supposed to replace the control board that runs the elevator. The first part arrived within approximately two weeks of the elevator being down. Otis Elevator Company claims that the second part is delayed because their supplier has a shipping issue and is the only company that can manufacture the part. Better hope your building's elevator doesn't break, or you can enjoy being without it for a month+
zero stars so far, I have been trying to get someone out to look at a old lift we have, i even said we are willing to replace it if necessary, no one will even call me back to set up a inspection, been passed off from one field rep to another and still no call, anyone else on this thread have a company that I can call to get a lift inspection/repair /or replace?
