Other Avenues Community Food Store is a medium-sized, well-stocked and inexpensive natural food and grocery store in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco. Their bulk and produce sections are divine and are very reasonable on your wallet.....and excellent for your health and the environment. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Located in an often overlooked up-and-coming neighborhood, Other Avenues is only a few blocks from the beach and is a convinient and not too lenghtly N-Muni ride from downtown.
Other Avenues Food Store is a Dud & Has No Class These guys are real duds. I called them from 30 miles away (and across a bridge with a 6$ toll) and asked them if they had a bulk food product in stock . . .they said they did. I drove all that way (and back) and it turned out they didn't have it--so I wasted all that time, the bridge toll and gas for nothing.' Works on a Budget Normally I go to Rainbow Grocery for my bulk foods, but a few weeks ago I found myself on the N to check out Other Avenues. The size of it allowed me to find everything much more quickly and to get my shopping done much faster. Of course there is less of a selection, but all the essentials are there.
GREAT PLACE Other Avenues Food Store is a great place to find all that is needed while shopping. The prices are very reasonable and an individual can find many food items here.
