If you’re looking for a watertight home, I strongly advise against building with Oswald homes. An engineer’s report has disclosed that the roof does not conform to Australian building standards. Additionally, numerous other substandard construction issues have been identified. Consequently, we have consistently experienced water damage, primarily due to design flaws rather than maintenance issues. Oswald has consistently disregarded requests and refrained from acknowledging any issues.
Very happy with our lovely home (built 2009) and excellent service right throughout that time. Great quality which I know has endured better than contemporary builds. Would highly recommend them. Unfortunately my view has been slightly tarnished as follow up after the build has been lacking. Untidy builder, Oswald Homes are building on Armstrong Road they have a skip overflowing and loose rubbish on the verge that’s blowing everywhere. Everyday I come out my house I’m picking up building waste because they cannot keep a tidy building site. I called them but it’s just a voicemail so hence you’re getting a review. Do better, it’s really not that hard to order a new skip or have your trades remove their own rubbish. A week after leaving this review is the rubbish left at site. Poor finishings, especially the walls and ceilings, they look like a pitted mess at best, thoughout the house. No follow up service. Lots of other issues to many to name in this post. Still unfinished aspects of the house that are in the contract and this is after 8 months plus. Not a happy customer. I'd advise against Oswald from our experience with them.
