I recommend CCS only if you can manage your issues on your own for some time. My counselor was very helpful when I could actually meet with him. From initially reaching out in November to mid-February, I was able to have only three appointments. Counseling services were unavailable over winter break when I needed them most, and two of my appointments were canceled day-of. I’ve had terrible experience with CCS, from unhelpful “counselors” to them flat out saying they can’t meet more than once a month, which is completely unreasonable due to my diagnosis. It’s a joke of a mental health resource. Then, once I get to the actual in person appointment with the counselor I have to go over every traumatic thing I’ve been going through, bawled my eyes out, just for her to ask me where I’m from and then proceeds to tell me CCS cannot provide counselin... read more
