Tourists Beware ! – Ammonia tasting scallops is what I got for dinner ! It was such a horrible experience that my husband loses his appetite on the fish he ordered . The waiter offered to replace it with a new one , but I don't think I can swallow any scallops after that experience .He was very apologetic I told him we are willing to pay for it . This bad taste will linger in my taste buds for a while ...

Treats members like visitors and visitors like members! – Can't be more frank but ever since Club Corp took over Barton Creek it is never been the same. I find it to be also racist to a point where I was sitting in the members lounge and witnessed two BC members quacking about how we are not supposted to be friendly or speaking with the hispanic servers. Really bad experience – Started out great with the bell hop and the elevator servicers. I will also say that the hotel is very pretty. Outside of that had a bad experience. For one did not think there was a whole lot to do and you have to pay $80 per person to use the pool for a day that they advertise to you in the TV. Of course you don't find out till you get there about the charge. In addition, one of the night my fiancee was literally stalked and harassed by the hotel staff. Rude manager – I used to love staying at the Omni Hotel until tonight, I felt characterically discriminated by the night manager. There were complaints that my family and I were being too loud. First if all, they gave us a room that has connecting doors to another room . if course. bad managing staff.

OK Rooms, but Great Spa – I am a regular guest at the Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Aman properties and without the amazing spa this resort would only be on the map due to it's previous owners, the Vanderbilts. The hotel has seen better days and we were very unimpressed with the room's size and quality. The guests at this establishment are mainly retired citizens and the staff pays more attention to the surnames of their guests than their comfort. Terrible Invasion of Privacy – While here, someone entered my room, went on my computer and watched porn. This could only have been one of two people and yet the hotel denied any knowledge, did nothing to make amends, besides move me to another room--AT MY REQUEST--and then make me feel like I was making the whole thing up. Don't stay here if you value your privacy; they will defend their employees and not think they have to make your stay more comfortable or safe, a basic requirement.
