A delightful evening – I've been here a few times in the past, mostly for business lunches, and have always found the food delicious and the service efficient. Last week, though, I came with a large group (13 diners) for dinner and the evening was so perfect I wanted to write. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared--the brick oven pizza is phenomenal--and our server was simply excellent. Gracious, knowledgeable and helpful, without being pushy or in the way. I've always thought the room was pretty, but the atmosphere tha... read more

Good Food, HORRIBLE service – Went here for a business lunch, the place is nice but way too loud, acoustics are terrible. The food was good, nothing to complain about. The service was HORRIBLE. I think the waitress took a zanax b/c she was totally spaced out and she got several of the specials wrong. Never came back to check on our table. We had to flag her down to order somethig to drink, she was standing against the wall picking her nails. Then had to track her down again for the check. Guess where she was? Literally stand... read more

great service good food – i went to the restaurant yesterday as a guest of a friend of mine (i would never go to midtown on weekend nights) and i was impressed by the warm service. my waitress lacey knew the menu inside out and she was full of good advice on my friend wine selection too. i have to be honest this is my very first time as a food critic but i am italian and i really think this restaurant deserve to be mentioned as a good one. i had fried calamari to start (a little heavy but good) and brodetto which is a fish s... read more

Pleasant Atmosphere but Disgusting Food – Perhaps I was unlucky in the choices I made from the menu, but I simply cannot understand the positive reviews for this restaurant. I had the Frutti di Mare pasta as my main -- the shell fish/seafood had obviously been frozen for months, it was completely rubbery and dry and had not been properly marinated to at least cover the blandness and staleness of it. It was so difficult to eat the dish on its own, that I had to smother it in olive oil and chili in order to cover some of its d... read more

Enchanting – What a nice Italian restaurant. It has been a while since I went to a place that I felt compelled to review. Its charming, quaint, nice atmosphere, attentive staff, good food, nice bar. I had the homemade ravioli then the chocolate mousse which was absolutely divine. I definitely recommend this place, I think I will be going back there time and time again

I love love love this place – My boyfriend and I take all of our out of town guests here. Whenever we get a chance to go back, we do. The food has been consistently fresh, delicious and authentic. I highly recommend getting the antipasti bar. It's a great starter, especially with a group. The sausage ravioli with sage is my absolute favorite. And they have an amazing wine list. It's great year-round. And when it's cold outside, it's beautifully decorated; and a perfect spot to warm up with a great bottle of wine. If you are ... read more

One and done! – We had fried calamari and shrimp -It was average at best. We had bruschetta - The bread was soggy.... Rizzoti with mushrooms and sausage - weird taste, almost medicine-like. Veal with Spinach - Veal was DRY and TOUGH. Desert was not as good as main courses. I would never go again. I highly NOT recommend. Save your money.

Mucho Bueno – I love everything about the restaurant! Everything on the menu is fresh, robust, and delicious! You can never go here too many times! The menu keeps changing and the dessert tray of fresh fruit tarts is very scintillating. Try the honey lemon cake, the tiramisu, the seafood ravioli, butternut ravioli, penne, soups, salads, it's all wonderful, esp. accompanied by a glass of house wine. Great for groups, clients, dates, pre-theater, and upscale after-work. I love the soft yellow colored walls, lighting, rustic wo... read more

Elegant Excellence – A truely lovely room, in which sound unfortunately carries. The food and service are unparalled but I suggest trying for off times because when its crowded it gets a bit loud in there.
