该校最早是日本人创办，是岛上第一家中医学校，中国城哪一家中医学校的学生也出自这里。后来各种原因开不下去。卖给现在的校长是一所中国人的私人学校，招生时夸夸其谈，一半以上老师都是前几届的毕业生，教学质量可想而知。教室环境混乱甚至不像一个真正意义上的教室。管理混乱校长不回复关于教学和管理问题的任何邮件。所谓的副校长是该学校雇主担保移民，自己是移民中介，甚至自己也是本校学生但不需要坐在教室上课。考试前老师会提前复习第二天的考试内容，考试开卷且不需要去学校，所以通过考试很容易。但最终想要获得合法执业执照在加拿大合法工作需要参加正规的加拿大中医执业资格考试。学校学生100%中国人，大部分是陪读家长。比较被动获取资源和信息渠道有限，本地人学习和需要针灸治疗更倾向于去中国城的中医学校。
