I was told I had a bulging disc, from an X ray some how, which would ultimately need an MRI to confirm. They gave me a steroid and sent me on my way. Here I am a week later, foot numb, can not lift the foot, leg throbbing with pain still. I was put in the hallway, no vitals were taken but somehow on my discharge paperwork, not even my temperature. I had the unfortunate experience of being under the care of Dr. Sonya Ephraim, MD; From day one, her imperious attitude, authoritarianism, and lack of sensitivity made me feel frightened and uncomfortable regarding my condition. Her manner of treating patients makes you doubt your own symptoms. I do not know if it is racism or a lack of ethics, but unfortunately, I do not recommend her due to her lack of respect for the patient.

My Husband who is a veteran fell hit his head I called 911 he was taken to OSF rockford.after 2 hours he was told this was not an emergency . Emergency room is for heart attacks and broken bones so he needs to call his doctors office this was on Saturday night.We were told this by the ER doctor!! Shocked,appalled,dismayed.
