Awesome food get the cheese enchiladas or the tamale plate
I have to disagree...On our way to Louisiana from New Mexico we stayed the night in Abilene at a nearby hotel. We had been on the road all day and were very tired and hungry. We made it 30 minutes to closing and I have to say the restuarant was very clean and the waitstaff very refreshing to see someone at the end of their shift to treat you as though it was the beginning of their long day. Oscar's is a local joint that can't decide whether it wants to be a bar or a Mexican food restaurant. One end of the rectangular building is a restaurant, and the other end is a beer bar (which Oscar euphemistically refers to as a "lounge"). The two halves are partitioned off from each other and have separate entrances. Hope you're thirsty for beer, because mixed drinks are not available.
