Dr. Fernandez might be a great OB, but this review is for his GYN side. I came to him to get an IUD. It proceeded to cause me immeasurable pain, constant bleeding, and horrible skin for 7mo - until I forced him to take it out. He was very dismissive of all my symptoms and was reluctant to do it. I never saw him again. Now four years later I had an ultrasound done and guess what- there is a perfectly logical reason why the IUD hurt me and why I was never a candidate for IUDs to begin with. I had a very bad experience at this office in regards to bills I received after the visit. I made an appointment for a standard annual exam where I was specifically told by the doctor everything would be covered 100% because of the insurance that I had and because it was an annual visit. I was even convinced to do extra lab tests that I did not ask for since "everything was covered 100%". During the next six month period I received bills over $1,000 in total for this visit. Dr. Fernandez is an incredibly skilled surgeon and works with a great team of people. I’ve had multiple surgeries before but have never had such an easy recovery. Highly recommend!
