Be healthy, be happy Oryana’s Health Food store is the areas best place to find organic produce, nature-based cosmetics and cleaning products, and assorted frozen vegetarian foods. They also boast a vast selection of bulk foods including basics like flour, pasta, nuts, and dried fruit, as well as a fantastic assortment of herbs, teas, and spices. This store is also a great resource for environmental information about the local area, and the staff is eager to please. They even have a natropath on staff that you can consult.

If being healthy is a priority.... Then shop at Oryana! This is the most incredible organic grocery store that I have ever shopped at. This store features gourmet foods (prepared and not), great local produce and a whole array of other things. If you become a member you get 5% off your purchases many times a year with your own punch card. Stop by and say hi, you will be thrilled you did!

Natural Fooks This market offers items that can not be found many other places. Organic and natural foods abound and the deli is wonderful. At times the service can be lacking and the employees apathetic, but on the whole it is a good shopping experience. They are a little hidden in Traverse City and sometimes I wonder if they like being a little exclusive. They are worth finding and I reccomend you give them a try. PROS: selection of organics CONS: service location

Healthy Shopping If you're looking for oganic/vegetarian/vegan food in the Traverse City area, Oryana is a must to check out. They're a relatively small market right now, although they'll be expanding over the next few months, but they carry fresh produce, coffees, health care products, and many many other things. They're a little bit on the pricey side because they're a small co-op, but it's worth it for the quality of food you're getting. The staff is always very nice and helpful and I always feel like I've done something ... read more

We love Oryana! I don't get over to that side of T.C. very often, but when I do, I like to stop by this great food co-op. My kids especially love when there are free samples! There is a lot of variety. We love the natural peanut butter. I would certainly suggest that people do some of their shopping there.

Good Selection but Expensive I love the selection that Oryana offers and the care they put into choosing their products. But they are very over-priced on many items. For example, Nature's Way Ginkgo Biloba costs 27% more at Oryana (for the exact same potency/quantity/brand) than at the other organic business in TC. It costs a whopping 69% more than buying online at vitacost.com, even when shipping is included.
