Excellent fishing supply store and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about gear and local fishing holes. These guys always make me feel welcome and are never too pushy, only friendly and kind. The local clothing offering is a great tribute to Maryland! Love the wide selection of flies and material to tie your own. Guys, be sure to visit this Main Street gem!

A 'novice' fisherman, made my 1st visit to downtown Frederick Thursday, because of Hunting Creek Outfitters; was warmly welcomed by Howie, Brian (& their lovely dog)!!! Initially I was the only customer, but they got busy & I spent a couple of hours visiting. They inspected my beginner fly rod, offered encouragement & advice, informed me of local sites & current conditions, upcoming classes & fishing guide options (Brian's own)!!! Not only do they have the best outdoors equipment in Frederick, they have the best store dog, AND I met Henry Winkler while checking out their spring Patagonia stuff. No joke.

Worked with Brian and Murry outfitting me with new Simms waders and boots. I have to say I have never received better service from an outfitter. Brian was patient and very knowledgable. Plus they are two great guys with a good sense of humor. I highly recommend them for all your fishing and outdoor adventures. Go by and check them out. Keep up the good work guys!
