I called the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center at 5616 N. Western Ave, Chicago to ask a simple question about insurance coverage. The experience was very disappointing. The woman who answered the phone was slow to respond, pausing for long periods of time, to the point where I had to keep saying “hello” to make sure she was still there. She explained that there isn’t even a doctor available at this location unless you make an appointment first. Dr. Connor is a pleasure to interact with as was all of the staff at ORC. They were all very attentive, listened well, and addressed my specific concerns and needs. I felt well taken care of in their hands. One suggestion, they should consider replacing the chairs in the waiting room that are really ripped up. When I came in and saw the tattered chairs, it made me question whether or not this was the place I wanted to care for my broken foot.
