I have never felt so comfortable and genuinely cared for by a Doctor and his assistant Mia in a very long time. Dr. Schaefer was totally concerned, listened and gave me the time to explain all that was happening with my unending knee pain and what I have gone through in all these years since he did my knee scope years ago. Dr. Robert Schaefer has done multiple surgeries on myself and other family members. He is an “old school” Dr. who gives you his cell number if you have problems after hours. I highly recommend him. His staff is very professional. They all bend over backwards to meet your needs. I just hope he doesn’t retire for several More years.
Have to say one of the best bosses I have ever had in my nursing career and thee most compassionate and intelligent orthopedic surgeon. Had to stop working for him years back due to raising my kids. My mom is much better with her knee replacement and now getting ready for my husband to have knee replacement in October. Wouldn't trust any other orthopedic surgeon to help the most important people in my life surgically. In my opinion best "Knee Doc" in Michigan!!! We are blessed to have him in our area!!!!!

I come all the way from Jackson. I have had the best care with Dr. Bob and will go to nobody else. He just did my other knee replacement yesterday and I am feeling great! He is worth the drive!

I’ve been a patient here since 2009. I was taken on as another doctors screw with with my knees. You couldn’t ask for a better doctor than Dr Schafer. He really truly cares for his patients and is always there for you and you couldn’t be in better hands! If you need an orthopedic then dr Schafer is your man!
