The first time I called to schedule an appointment I asked if my insurance was accepted and was told that it was. Even on their website it says most PPOs are accepted which is what mine is. I had my wellness exam and was not charged any co pay. On my 6 month follow up I had another wellness exam scheduled and when I was checking in I was told I owed a $40 co pay. The staff here is exceptionally welcoming and super friendly—I can’t express how caring they were. That alone is why I rated 2.5 stars. However, the major issue is time management when it comes to appointments. Two weeks ago, I waited over 2.5 hours past my scheduled time to be seen. Yesterday, I waited another 1 hour and 10 minutes before finally asking, only to be told the surgeon was still in the operating room. Will not be trusting this business with my dental care again. I searched for a holistic dentist extensively, so I decided to drive far and pay more. On my second visit, I had an urgent dental issue which they did not resolve after making me wait for 2 hours, and charging me an additional $125 for another assesment (previous one done less than 3 months ago). In my opinion, this makes all soothing scents, hot packs, music and talk about care and compassion seem like a marketing gimmick.
My first visit at Holistic Dentistry Homestead was nothing short of exceptional, from start to finish every member of the team made me feel welcomed, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend this office more!
